What age is best for a balance bike?
Balance bikes are designed for little people, who for the most part are able to walk with confidence. This generally means from 2 years, all the way up to 5 years old. This may vary depending on the individual circumstance, however most children are able to stand over a balance bike frame (with feet touching the ground) around the 2 year mark. By the age of 5, most children will naturally transition to a bigger bike with a drive train (i.e. pedals, chainwheel, cranks) and thus be able to pedal and balance independently.
