Dream Build Giveaway: terms and conditions

These terms apply to the LUXBMX Dream Build Giveaway. By entering, you agree to them.

1. The promoter

1.1 The promoter is Lux BMX Pty Ltd (ABN 17 143 850 113) trading as LUXBMX, 1 Burke Street, Woolloongabba QLD 4102 ("LUXBMX", "we", "us"). Questions about the giveaway go to help@luxbmx.com or 1300 589 269.

2. Who can enter

2.1 Entry is open to people who live in Australia or New Zealand.

2.2 You must be 13 or older to enter. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian can enter on your behalf, using their own details; the entry is then theirs. If you are 13 to 17, you need permission from your parent or guardian to enter, and you must give us their email address. By entering, you confirm you have that permission. If an entrant under 18 wins, we award the prize to their parent or guardian on their behalf.

2.3 Employees of LUXBMX and of any sponsor of the giveaway, and their immediate families, cannot enter.

2.4 One entry per person. If we receive more than one entry from the same person, we keep the first and remove the rest.

3. When you can enter

3.1 Entries open on Wednesday 14 October 2026 and close at 11:59 pm on Sunday 15 November 2026. All times are Brisbane time (AEST). Entries received after close are not counted.

4. How to enter

4.1 To enter, go to luxbmx.com/pages/dream-build and:

1. Give your name, email address, where you live and your age group.
2. Build your dream bike in the bike builder at luxbmx.com/pages/build-your-bike, or save its parts to a LUXBMX wishlist, then pick that build in the entry form. The parts in your build are saved with your entry.
3. Answer the questions about your riding.
4. Tell us, in 25 words or less, what BMX means to you.
5. Agree to these terms.

4.2 You can also add a photo of yourself riding, or a photo you have taken that shows what BMX means to you. The photo is optional and is not judged.

4.3 Entering adds you to the LUXBMX email list for new parts, offers and news. This is a condition of entry. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails, and unsubscribing does not cancel your entry.

5. Judged on creativity and authenticity

5.1 This is a competition of skill, judged on creativity and authenticity. Chance plays no part in picking the winner. A panel of LUXBMX staff judges every eligible entry on two things, weighted equally:

• The build (50%): how cool it is. We look for a bike that hangs together, is rideable and shows who you are.
• Your answer (50%): what BMX means to you, in 25 words or less. We look for honest, specific and memorable.

5.2 If two entries score the same, the one with the higher answer score wins. If they are still level, the earlier entry wins.

5.3 We judge the build saved with your entry. Changes you make to your builder or wishlist after you enter are not counted.

5.4 Before judging, we remove entries that are incomplete, are not eligible, or have no parts in their build. An answer longer than 25 words is not judged.

5.5 The judges' decision is final, and we will not enter into correspondence about it.

6. The prize

6.1 There is one prize: the bike the winner built, made up of the parts in the build saved with their entry, up to a total retail value of $5,000 AUD (including GST) at the prices shown on luxbmx.com when entries close. The LUXBMX workshop assembles the bike, and we deliver it to the winner's address in Australia or New Zealand.

6.2 If the winning build is worth more than $5,000, the winner can pay the difference, or remove parts until the build is under $5,000, before we order the parts.

6.3 If a part in the winning build is out of stock or discontinued, we work with the winner to swap it for a part of similar type and value.

6.4 We pay delivery of the prize to the winner's address in Australia or New Zealand, and any New Zealand import GST, duty or fees.

6.5 The prize cannot be swapped for cash, credit or other goods, and cannot be transferred to anyone else.

6.6 We give the winner a delivery estimate once their build is confirmed.

7. Telling the winner

7.1 We tell the winner by email by Thursday 19 November 2026, and announce their first name on luxbmx.com and our social media.

7.2 The winner must reply within 14 days to accept the prize. If they do not, or they turn out not to be eligible, the prize goes to the next-highest scoring entry.

8. Entrant offer

8.1 After the winner is chosen, we email every other eligible entrant a unique code for 10% off one order on luxbmx.com.

8.2 Each code:

• can be used once, by the entrant it was sent to
• expires at 11:59 pm on Thursday 24 December 2026, Brisbane time (AEST)
• cannot be combined with other product discounts, but can be used with LUX BUX and shipping offers
• cannot be exchanged for cash

9. Your answers and photo

9.1 We use your answers and your build to run the giveaway, to decide which parts to stock, and to send you emails that suit your riding.

9.2 We may share totals and percentages from all entries with the brands and suppliers whose parts we sell, such as how often a part was picked and by what kind of rider. We never share your name, email address or individual answers, and we combine any group of fewer than five riders into a larger one so no rider can be identified.

9.3 If you tick the box to let us share your answer and photo, you give LUXBMX a free, non-exclusive licence to publish them, with your first name only, on luxbmx.com, in our emails and on our social media. If you do not tick it, we only use them to run the giveaway.

9.4 By adding a photo, you confirm that you took it or have the right to use it, and that anyone shown in it is happy for it to be used this way.

9.5 We remove any entry with content that is offensive, unlawful or not your own.

9.6 We store photos securely and delete them on request. Email help@luxbmx.com to ask.

9.7 We handle your personal information under our privacy policy at luxbmx.com/policies/privacy-policy.

9.8 luxbmx.com uses advertising and analytics tools, including Meta's. When you enter, these tools may receive a scrambled (hashed) copy of the details you type, such as your email address, which they use to measure and show our ads.

10. General

10.1 We may disqualify any entry, or any entrant, that we reasonably believe has tampered with the entry process, entered more than once, given false details or acted unfairly.

10.2 If something outside our control stops the giveaway running as planned, such as a technical failure, we may change, pause or cancel it, subject to any directions from a regulator.

10.3 Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, LUXBMX is not liable for any loss or damage from taking part in the giveaway or using the prize.

10.4 These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

10.5 This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Instagram, Facebook or Meta.
