The Excess XLC-2 alloy wheelset is this brand's top of the line alloy wheels. This upgraded wheelset features a Pro level rear cassette hub that can take the power of a pro rider and keep you out front of the pack! The XLC-2 Wheels feature a 3 pawls system with 5 fin engagement, locking into a 120 ratchet cutter ring, giving you that extra torque needed for full power gate starts!

The XLC-2 also uses our exclusive Alloy rims that feature 2 different rim profiles front and rear, echo with a low profile, Double walled 6061 T6 Alloy rim with Optimized Internal Geometry for light weight and optional strength.
Pro Lite/Pro 20” Wheelset offer the option for you to convert the rear hub to accept a disc brake, via an optional Disc Center Lock adapter! This gives you the best of both worlds. The Wheels are set up out of the box for V Brakes, but you can upgrade to Disc at anytime without getting a new rear hub!
Also offered an Axle Conversion - The wheels are delivered with a 3/8 front axle set up, but with the purchase of the optional front 20mm hub axle, you can also convert the front hub to be uses with 20mm dropout forks!
All the wheels feature new graphics, Gloss Black Anodized finish, and 2 unique different Rim Profiles.

Features

V brakes now, disc later. The set runs V brakes out of the box, and the rear hub takes an optional centre lock disc adapter without buying a new hub.
120 ratchet ring engagement. Three pawls with a five fin engagement system lock into a 120 ratchet ring, giving the torque you want for full power gate starts.
Different rim profiles front and rear. The front rim is a low profile aero with a brakeless surface, the rear has a machined brake track, both double walled 6061 T6 alloy.
Sealed bearings, six all up. Two sealed bearings in the front hub and four in the rear, with 3/8 inch bolts and alloy CNC bolt caps.
Front axle converts to 20mm. The front hub is delivered with a 3/8 axle and takes an optional 20mm conversion axle kit for 20mm dropout forks.
