Description

IKON's carbon specific brake pads use alloy bodies with replaceable brake pad inserts, so when the pad wears out you swap the insert rather than the whole cartridge. They are designed to be used exclusively on carbon rims.

The idea is to make braking with carbon rims feel like braking with alloy rims. The 72mm pads are grooved to dissipate water for improved wet weather performance, and 5mm fastening nuts with adjustment washers are included. They come in a carbon look finish with IKON logos and weigh 2.10oz for the pair.

Features
  • For carbon rims only. These are designed to be used exclusively on carbon rims, so keep them away from your alloy wheels.
  • Carbon braking that feels like alloy. IKON built the compound and body to make stopping on carbon rims feel like stopping on alloy rims.
  • Replaceable pad inserts. The alloy brake cartridge takes inserts you can swap out, so you only replace the part that has worn.
  • Grooved to shed water. Grooves in the pad dissipate water for improved wet weather performance.
  • 72mm pads, sold as a pair. Comes with 5mm fastening nuts and adjustment washers, at 2.10oz for the pair.
