Highlights

  • Flat mount disc brake only
  • Internal cable routing
  • Sliding dropout disc system
  • 200g lighter than the Helium

Description

The Quartz Disc Pro XXXL is a disc brake specific race frame in hydroformed 6061 alloy with Paradigm tubing. There are no V-brake mounts at all: braking runs off a flat mount 120mm calliper, with the line routed internally through the frame.

Pro XXXL sits at the long end of the range, with a 22.25" top tube and a 14.8" minimum chain stay set by the forged and CNC machined sliding dropouts. Those dropouts take 10 and 15mm axles only and carry an integrated chain tensioner.

Features

  • Flat mount disc brake only. A flat mount 120mm calliper keeps the rear of the frame neat and compact, and this frame is not compatible with V-brakes.
  • Internal cable routing. The brake line runs inside the frame, part of the disc specific build of this Quartz.
  • Sliding dropout disc system. Forged and CNC machined sliding dropouts with an integrated chain tensioner, for 10 and 15mm axles only.
  • 200g lighter than the Helium. Hydroformed 6061 alloy with Paradigm tubing makes this a super lightweight frame, so there is less to haul out of the gate.
  • Long Pro XXXL geometry. A 22.25" top tube and 14.8" minimum chain stay for taller riders, on a frame with two world championship wins behind it.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

  • Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
  • Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
  • Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.

Not sure? Send us their height and we will tell you what we would put them on.
