The Shadow Truss Rim is a black metal BMX bike rim with multiple spoke holes, shown upright on a white background.

Highlights

  • 38mm wide, double walled
  • Bridge inspired internal chambers
  • Increased spoke area
  • 36 hole centreline drilling

Description

The Truss rim borrows from modern bridge design. Internal chambers handle compression as well as tension, giving a very rigid structure that transfers load from a single impact point across a considerably wider area.

It is a double walled, 38mm wide rim in heat treated 6061-T6 alloy with a welded seam and centreline spoke drilling. The spoke area is increased to limit spoke pull through and add structural integrity, so the rim keeps you rolling.

Features
  • 38mm wide, double walled. A wide double walled section puts more material where the impacts land.
  • Bridge inspired internal chambers. The chambers are built to handle compression and tension, spreading load from one point across a wider area.
  • Increased spoke area. More material around the spoke holes limits spoke pull through and adds structural integrity.
  • 36 hole centreline drilling. Drilled 36 hole through the centreline of the rim for the wheel build.
  • Heat treated 6061-T6 alloy. Heat treated alloy with a welded seam makes for a stronger, more impact resistant rim.

Specifications
  • Material: Heat treated 6061-T6 alloy, welded seam
  • Hole count: 36
  • Rim width: 38mm, double walled
