20 Inch Tapered Race Forks

These forks fit specifically frames with a tapered head tube with the fork's steerer tube starting at a diameter of 1-1/8th inch and flaring out to 1.5 inches at the bottom. Hence the term "tapered" fork. This design is utilised mainly of pro sized frames for its strength and stiffness qualities.

You can run a straight 1-1/8th inch fork in a tapered frame by using a step-down headset found here, though to take advantage of a tapered frame design, a tapered fork is desirable.
