There is more to the Glide headset than its looks. The top cap is CNC machined from alloy in the shape of the BOX logo, with cut outs that shave weight and show off the internals. An anodised aluminium bolt threads into a gold anodised alloy expander plug, which does away with the star nut and works with any 1 1/8 inch steerer tube, carbon fibre included.

The top bearing cover is carbon fibre, which adds a bit of style and saves a little more weight. At the heart of it sit two sealed 45x45 bearings with a titanium nitride coating for lower friction, better corrosion resistance and smoother rolling. A split crown race makes fitting and removal from the fork easy, and the complete headset weighs 83 grams.
