Description

We expect the 2022 Chase Element Pro L bikes to sell as fast as the 2021 models, with the range really establishing itself as the best value for the racer looking to step up from an entry level race bike. With a part's suite that includes gear like race proven Answer carbon fibre Dagger forks, along with a disc brake system, the first step in the Element Pro range is the perfect race rig for riders coming up through the ranks. The part's list continues with brands like Elevn, Insight and Tioga used for key components

With design cues from the Chase RSP frame series, the Element's geometry has input from Chase's two pro riders, Olympic champion Connor Fields, and 4X USABMX title winner Joris Daudet. The Pro L Element with a 20.5" top tube is suited to the rider jumping up from a expert sized bike who's grown enough to skip the expert XL level, particularly if they are really starting to hit bigger jumps. The 20 inch wheelset with a 20x1.75/1.60 combo will soak up cases that inevitably will happen. It's all part of development and with a little "suspension" built into the bigger tyres, the rider on this bike will progress further and faster than ever before. Especially with the DNA of the Chase brand in every Element.

Features

  • Answer Dagger carbon fork. Race proven carbon fibre up front with an alloy steer tube and 3/8" dropouts, a big step above entry level race gear.
  • Hydraulic disc brake. A hydraulic lever and calliper on a 120mm rotor with resin pads gives strong, consistent stopping into the corners.
  • 20.5" top tube for stepping up. Suits the rider who has outgrown expert size and is skipping expert XL, especially once the jumps get bigger.
  • Cushioned 20x1.75 and 1.60 tyres. Tioga Fastr X tyres on Sun Ringle Envy Lite rims build in a little suspension to soak up the cases that come with learning.
  • Excess 175mm cranks, 43x16 gearing. A 52.27" gear ratio through an Insight alloy ring and KMC Z1 chain, with the whole bike at 9.25kg with pedals.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.
