Square drive (or DSN) nipples have a square interface on the end of the nipple that normally would have a driver slot, or a hex. This raised square interface allows for very fine tuning of the spoke tension. Building a better wheel.
Spoke calculation lengths need to be at least 1-2mm longer for optimal thread engagement

AB-Lock is a process where a dual compound, adhesive liquid is injected into the nipple thread during manufacture, this compound then dries and remains dormant until a spoke is threaded through the compound.

By threading the nipple onto the spoke the adhesive is activated and begins to cure.
(it is recommended that wheels using AB-Lock be built in "one sitting" and not "finished" the following day).

However, re-truing the wheel is still possible even after the adhesive has cured completely, with only a minimal percentage decrease of its thread holding capability.
