Description

Sprocket adapter, sprocket spacer, spider adapter, hat washer: whatever you call it, this is the stepped steel washer that sits behind your sprocket so it fits your crank axle properly. It goes on the back side of the chainwheel and steps the bore down to 19mm.

There are three versions to match your chainwheel. Silver is .875 inch to 19mm for 5mm thick chainwheels and spiders, gold is .938 inch to 19mm for older one piece chainwheels, and black is .875 inch to 19mm for 6mm and thicker chainwheels. Profile bolt-on spiders sit flush on a 19mm crank axle, so they do not need one.

  • Steps your sprocket to 19mm. The stepped washer takes the chainwheel bore down to a 19mm crank axle so the sprocket fits the way it should.
  • Sits behind the sprocket. It goes on the back side of the chainwheel, between the sprocket and the crank.
  • Made from steel. These spacers are steel, not alloy, where the sprocket loads up against the crank axle.
  • Three sizes, three colours. Silver .875 inch for 5mm chainwheels and spiders, gold .938 inch for older one piece chainwheels, black .875 inch for 6mm and thicker.
  • Skip it on bolt-on spiders. Profile bolt-on spiders already fit flush on a 19mm crank axle, so a hat washer is not needed there.
