Description

The Salt Rookie is a replacement front wheel for 14 inch bikes, built around the wider 35mm Salt Beam rim. The rim is single wall alloy with straight sidewalls, laced to 20 holes in this size.

It runs the Salt Rookie front hub: low flange alloy on loose ball bearings with a 3/8 inch axle, which is what small wheel bikes are built around. Rim tape is included, so all you need is a tube and tyre.

Features

Wider 35mm Beam rim. The Salt Beam rim is 35mm wide, giving a small wheel more support under the tyre.
Single wall alloy rim. Straight sidewalls and alloy construction keep the wheel simple and light for a young rider.
3/8 inch axle. The Rookie hub runs a 3/8 inch axle, which matches the dropouts on 14 inch bikes.
Rim tape included. Tape comes with the wheel, so you only need a tube and tyre to finish the job.
Low flange alloy hub. Loose ball bearings in an alloy low flange shell, so it can be stripped and regreased with basic tools.
