Description

Troy Lee Designs have, for many years now, been the helmet of choice for many riders in the field at UCI SX World Cup events. TLD says: if you are between sizes, consider the larger size for a more relaxed fit. Spare cheek pads and a head liner are included to fine-tune the fit.

How to measure

Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your head, about 2.5cm above your eyebrows and just above your ears. Keep it level and snug but not tight, and read the number in centimetres.

No tape measure? Use a piece of string or a shoelace, mark where it meets, then measure the string against a ruler.

Between two sizes? Most helmet brands recommend the larger size and using the thicker set of pads. A helmet should feel snug all round with no pressure points, and shouldn't rock when you shake your head.
