Description

A lightweight alloy frame, coupled with appropriately sized geometry, makes these the perfect frame for the younger, smaller BMX'ers starting out. Progression & having fun with BMX will come naturally, for all styles of riding, including those aspiring to be a future BMX Freestyle Olympic athlete. With the Colony Horizon series of frames, there is no limit to where BMX could be taken.

Features

Light alloy for young riders. The 6061T6 frame weighs 1.562kg, so a smaller rider can lift and land the bike without fighting it.
Geometry sized to suit. An 18.9" top tube, 12.9" rear end and 75.0º head tube angle give a proper 20 inch fit for a smaller rider.
Built for every style. Colony designed the Horizon for all styles of riding, from first laps at the park through to freestyle competition.
Brake mounts, removable gyro tabs. U-brake mounts and an integrated headset drilled for gyro tabs let you build it braked or leave it clean.
Mid BB and seat hardware included. 19mm bottom bracket bearings come pre-installed, and the 27.2mm seat tube ships with a clamp and a 25.4mm post shim.

The height bands overlap on purpose. If you land in two of them, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park. Plenty of riders, pros included, deliberately ride longer than a chart suggests.

How to measure

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the length of the tube you can see. Measure your current frame that way and compare.

Size up for stability through trails and transitions.
Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed once you buy, but chainstay length, stem length, fork offset and bar position all change how the built bike feels.
