Fairdale is happy to introduce the Elevator; A 29" hardtail mountain bike that comes fully equipped with a SRAM GX Eagle groupset, a RockShox Pike fork, Alex wheels, Maxxis tyres and more.
The Fairdale Elevator is a BMX-inspired, full chromoly all-arounder with a geometry that is focused on nimble maneuverability and predictable climbing and descending. While many modern bikes are long and low, the Elevator’s unique ride-feel will let you easily throw in a manual or re-adjust your position on a line, thanks to the super short 406mm chainstay length.
As always, making the ride fun is Fairdale's main priority. This is a bike that lets you feel like a rider again instead of being a passenger. Proudly sticking to Fairdale’s user-friendly approach to frame construction, its straight seat tube will allow you to fully insert a dropper post of the maximum possible drop, and the Elevator’s removable, external cable routing is a breeze for assembly and maintenance.

Features
  • BMX-inspired 29" hardtail. A 100% 4130 chromoly frame with geometry tuned for nimble handling, so climbing and descending both stay predictable.
  • Super short 406mm chainstays. The investment cast yoke pulls the rear end in tight, so manuals and mid-line corrections come easy, with room for 2.5" tyres.
  • SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed. A 10-52T cassette and 32T X-SYNC 2 chainring give you a gear for the steep stuff and the fast stuff.
  • RockShox Pike with 130mm travel. 44mm offset and 15x110mm Boost spacing up front, matched to Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR II tyres on Alex EXR 30 rims.
  • Dropper ready, straight seat tube. The 150mm TranzX Kitsuma dropper can be fully inserted, and external routing with removable hardware keeps assembly and maintenance simple.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the same as the length of the tube you can see.

  • A 20 inch bike is the standard adult BMX and most riders end up there, so do not size a tall child down to a smaller wheel.
  • 22, 24 and 26 inch bikes are adult bikes with a bigger wheel, not bigger frames for taller riders.
  • Size up for stability through trails and transitions. Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
  • Top tube is fixed, but stem length, fork offset and bar position all shift how roomy the bike feels once you are on it.
