The Federal Boyd V2 Frame (Boyd Hilder Signature) is a matte white BMX frame with "BOXD" in black on the down tube, featuring the innovative ICS2 wishbone for enhanced strength.

Description

The Boyd Hilder Signature Frame is back with a fresh look and a subtle geometry update that gives it a taller, more aggressive stance. The new 9.2” stand-over height adds a little extra presence without changing the way the frame rides — still fast, still responsive, still very Boyd.

This latest version features all-new graphics by Rich Forne, developed in close collaboration with Boyd himself. The result is a frame that feels just as intentional visually as it does on the bike.

Under the hood, it’s the same proven Hilder platform. You’re getting the full IC treatment with the ICS2 wishbone, IC dropouts and IC seat clamp, plus an ovalised down tube for strength where it counts. Top and bottom head tube gussets, tapered seat stays and stamped down tube gussets keep things stiff, tight and ready for abuse.

Investment-cast dropouts, seat stay bridge, chain stay bridge and seat clamp keep everything precise and strong, while removable brake mounts let you run it clean or dialled depending on how you ride.

Taller 9.2" standover. The updated stance gives the frame more presence without changing the way it rides: still fast, still responsive.
Full IC treatment. Investment cast ICS2 wishbone, IC dropouts, seat clamp, seat stay bridge and chain stay bridge make the joins precise and strong.
Ovalised down tube and gussets. Top and bottom head tube gussets, stamped down tube gussets and tapered seat stays keep the frame stiff and ready for abuse.
Removable brake mounts. Run it clean with no brake, or bolt the mounts back on, depending on how you ride.
Five top tube lengths. From 20.2" through to 21.5", with a 13.4" slammed rear end and 75.2° head angle for quick, responsive handling.

Frames are sized by top tube length. Start with your height, then let riding style decide where in the range you land.

The height bands overlap on purpose. If you land in two of them, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park. Plenty of riders, pros included, deliberately ride longer than a chart suggests.

How to measure

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the length of the tube you can see. Measure your current frame that way and compare.

Size up for stability through trails and transitions.
Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed once you buy, but chainstay length, stem length, fork offset and bar position all change how the built bike feels.
