Description

You could say that Formula has created the Cura disc brake specifically for BMX racing with it's two piston caliper and ambidextrous lever design. Simple, powerful and light weight, we all know that BMX racing doesn't require brakes to maintain performance of repeated application, we barely touch the things after all. So we think that the Cura hits a sweet spot in price and specification.

Available in this post mount version, Formula also offer the Cura in a flat mount and if you're not sure what your build needs, just hit us up and one of the BMX experts here at the shop will point you to the right set up.

Features

Two piston calliper. 24mm pistons in a simple two piston body, which is all a race bike asks of a brake.
Ambidextrous lever. The forged lever blade works on either side of the bar, so you can run your brake left or right.
Post mount fitting. This version bolts to post mount tabs, and Formula also offer the Cura in a flat mount if that suits your build.
Runs any pad or rotor. All brake pads fit and both 6 hole and centre lock rotors work, so replacements are easy to source.
359g complete system. Weighed with an 85cm hose, a 140mm one piece rotor and the mounting hardware.
