You could say that Formula has created the Cura disc brake specifically for BMX racing with it's two piston calliper and ambidextrous lever design. Simple, powerful and light weight, we all know that BMX racing doesn't require brakes to maintain performance of repeated application, we barely touch the things after all. So we think that the Cura hits a sweet spot in price and specification. 

Available in this flat mount version, Formula also offer the Cura in a post mount and if you're not sure what your build needs, just hit us up and one of the BMX experts here at the shop will point you to the right set up. 

Features
  • Two piston flat mount calliper. A flat mount calliper with 24mm pistons: simple, powerful and light, which is exactly what BMX racing asks of a brake.
  • Ambidextrous lever blade. The forged aluminium lever works on either side of the bar, so it suits whichever brake side you run.
  • Organic pads fitted. Organic compound pads come as standard, and the Cura takes all Formula brake pads if you want to change later.
  • Takes any rotor. Compatible with both 6 bolt and centre lock rotors, so you can keep what is already on your wheel.
  • 359g as a system. Weighed with an 85cm hose, a 140mm one-piece rotor and mounting hardware, and supplied with a 175cm hose.
