With the Merritt Battle rim strength and durability are it's top priorities. Going against the trend of today's low profile BMX rims, the Battle rim is extruded from 6066 aluminum and uses taller sidewalls, a 39mm width, extra thick center rib to prevent spoke pull through and a welded seam.

Features

Built for strength. Extruded from 6066 aluminium with taller sidewalls, so it stands up better than a low profile rim.
39mm wide. The extra width supports a fatter tyre and gives you a bigger footprint on the ground.
Extra thick centre rib. A thicker centre section stops spokes pulling through the rim when you run the wheel up to tension.
Welded seam. The welded join keeps the hoop round and consistent all the way through the rim.
ERD listed at 379.5mm. A published effective rim diameter takes the guesswork out of ordering spokes for a new build.
