Description

The Red BMX Whip V2 frame is Olympian Irek Rizaev's signature frame. Geometry fully developed by Irek and engineers from Russian brand STRESS BMX. The team worked with a focus on strength and using modern technology. The end result is a really comfortable, strong and light frame for park riding.

Sanko Japanese butted chromoly tubing. Thicker where the frame needs it and thinner where it can be, so it stays strong without carrying dead weight.
Internal gussets at the head tube. Inside gussets tie the top and down tubes into the head tube, with an outside gusset on the down tube as well.
Gusset on the seat stays. A high stress area where frames usually crack, because tricks and spins put a really big pressure on that point.
Four sizes, brakes optional. Top tubes run 20.1" to 21", the frame comes with or without brake mounts, and M8 brake hardware and chain adjusters are included.

Frames are sized by top tube length. Start with your height, then let riding style decide where in the range you land.

The height bands overlap on purpose. If you land in two of them, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park. Plenty of riders, pros included, deliberately ride longer than a chart suggests.

How to measure

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the length of the tube you can see. Measure your current frame that way and compare.

Size up for stability through trails and transitions.
Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed once you buy, but chainstay length, stem length, fork offset and bar position all change how the built bike feels.
