Description

Skyway USA has released a limited number of Collector's Edition Wheels with Gold flanges. These wheels are made to customise retro rebuilds from the 70's and 80's as well as make any modern BMX bike look cool. Why not throw it on a carbon race rig?

Like most things from the 80s, manufacturing processes have markedly improved, but these Tuffs are made using the same tech as back in the day, so read on....

Please note: Due to the rim/bead profile on Skyway Tuff Wheels there may be subtle inconsistencies in seating tyres to Skyway wheels. Due to axle configuration, there may also be a small amount of play in the bearing assembly. This is consistent with all Skyway sealed bearing wheels.

Disclaimer: Due to the nature of plastic moulded wheels there may be some discrepancies in edging, colour and consistency. This varies with each pair and are accustom to Skyway Tuff wheels.

Rivets: The riveting process used in Skyway Rivet wheels is fairly heavy. This can cause inconsistencies with the rivets and hubs themselves and is consistent with their full range.

Features

Takes 16T and larger freewheels. The rear is set up for screw on freewheels from 16 tooth up, so you can gear it to suit your build.
3/8 inch chromoly axles. Both wheels run 3/8 inch chromoly axles, so they drop straight into old school frames and forks built around that size.
Sealed bearings front and rear. Fully sealed bearing hubs keep the grit out and keep the wheels rolling without constant fettling.
Zytel nylon construction. Moulded Zytel nylon means there are no spokes to true or replace, just the mag look these are known for.
Gold anodised rivet flanges. A limited Collector's Edition run of the riveted flange hubs, made for retro rebuilds from the 70s and 80s or a modern bike that wants some flash.

Note: Made in the USA. Because of the rim and bead profile, tyres can seat with subtle inconsistencies, and the axle configuration can leave a small amount of play in the bearing assembly, which is normal across Skyway sealed bearing wheels. Moulded plastic wheels vary in edging, colour and consistency, and the heavy riveting process can leave inconsistencies in the rivets and hubs.
