Description

The Original 1980 Skyway Tuff 2 Rivet moulds upgraded with sealed bearings. These are what the old boys ran back in the day. Identical down to the fact that they all but indestructible. Heavy for sure, but that's a small price to pay for looking this freaking cool on the OS pub crawl!

These wheels are the freewheel version and can run a 16T and up screw on freewheel. You know the one, it goes zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz as you roll along.

Features

The original 1980 moulds. Skyway still run the Tuff 2 Rivet tooling from 1980, so these are identical to what the old boys rode.
Sealed bearings, old skool looks. The one upgrade over the originals is sealed bearings front and rear, on 3/8 inch chromoly axles.
Takes a 16T screw on freewheel. The freewheel thread is imperial 1.375 x 24 TPI, so any standard 16 tooth and up freewheel screws straight on.
Zytel nylon construction. Heavy for sure, but all but indestructible, and that is a small price to pay for the look.
Made in the USA. Still moulded and riveted in the States the same way they always were, silver rivet hub flanges included.

Note: Due to the rim and bead profile, tyres can be difficult to seat evenly. A small amount of play in the bearing assembly is normal on Skyway sealed bearing wheels, and there can be discrepancies in trueness, edging, colour and consistency, along with inconsistencies in the riveting.
