Description

The 2022 Stay Strong V4 frame is a completely ground up new design and from the Mini, up through the youth frames, into the Pro frames and including Cruiser, are all disc dedicated frames. More and more we are seeing disc only frames from leading manufacturers as we move into a new decade, and feel that this isn't just a trend that will wear out its welcome. Having a disc only frame opens up design on frames and personally, we love the sleek, high tech look of a disc set up. The Stay Strong For Life V4 Pro L Race Frame features triple butted down & toptube, double butted chain & seat stays adding strength while saving weight. Stay Strong have once again increased frames stiffness for power and speed and the Pro L sized frames feature a tapered 1.5 head tube, BB86 bottom bracket, 10mm rear dropouts and built in chain tensioners included. With 15mm & 20mm inserts available as an option.

Features
  • Disc only race frame. The V4 is designed around a disc brake rather than adapted for one, which keeps the rear end clean and opens up the frame design.
  • Triple butted down and top tube. Double butted chain and seat stays as well: strength where the loads are, weight taken out everywhere else.
  • Stiffer again for power and speed. Stay Strong lifted frame stiffness once more on the V4, aimed squarely at gate starts and hill speed.
  • Built in chain tensioners. Tensioners come with the frame, and 15mm and 20mm dropout inserts are available as an option.
  • Pro L sizing and fittings. 20.75" top tube, tapered 1-1/8 to 1.5" head tube, BB86 bottom bracket and 10mm rear dropouts, 1.58kg.

Race frames are sized by class, and the class you ride is set by rider height rather than age.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

  • Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
  • Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
  • Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.

Not sure? Send us their height and we will tell you what we would put them on.
