The 2022 Stay Strong V4 frame is a completely ground up new design and from the Mini, up through the youth frames, into the Pro frames and including Cruiser, are all disc dedicated frames. More and more we are seeing disc only frames from leading manufacturers as we move into a new decade, and feel that this isn't just a trend that will wear out its welcome. Having a disc only frame opens up design on frames and personally, we love the sleek, high tech look of a disc set up. The Stay Strong For Life V4 Pro Cruiser Race Frames features triple butted down & top tube, double butted chain & seat stays adding strength while saving weight. Stay Strong have once again increased frames stiffness for power and speed and the Pro Cruiser frames are offered in two sizes. 21.75" and 22.75" and feature a tapered 1.5 head tube, BB86 bottom bracket, 10mm rear dropouts and built in chain tensioners included. With 15mm & 20mm inserts available as an option.

Features
  • Disc only cruiser frame. The V4 cruiser is designed around a disc brake rather than adapted for one, which keeps the rear end clean and opens up the frame design.
  • Two cruiser sizes. 21.75" and 22.75" top tubes, so you can pick the length that suits your reach on a 24" wheel.
  • Triple butted down and top tube. Double butted chain and seat stays as well: strength where the loads are, weight taken out everywhere else.
  • Built in chain tensioners. Tensioners come with the frame, and 15mm and 20mm dropout inserts are available as an option.
  • Cruiser fittings, light build. Tapered 1-1/8 to 1.5" head tube, BB86 bottom bracket and 10mm rear dropouts, at 1.64kg and 1.65kg.

Heights overlap between bike sizes on purpose. If you fall in two size categories, a growing rider new to racing is usually better suited to the larger bike, a experienced rider who wants the bike to more responsive should err on the smaller size. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark. Just don't guess their height either, you know how fast they can grow!

Here are some tips

  • Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size, but make sure you check the top tube length of the bike. The length of top tube for a given size (Expert XL as an example) can vary up to a half inch or more across brands. Most Expert XL frames are 20", but we've seen them as long as 20.7"
  • Experienced racer and wanting the bike to be more responsive? Take the smaller size. You want the bike to be "under you", not a stretch to the bars and cranks.
  • Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.
