LUXBMX.COM is an award-winning, rider-owned BMX and Streetwear store located in the West End, Brisbane, Australia. Founded by Mitch Wood and Evan Jaques in 2010 LUXBMX started with deep roots in BMX. Both Mitch and Ev have been life long BMX heads, contributing to the scene for years pre-LUXBMX. It was clear that both these guys were on a path to LUXBMX from very early on. With a common goal in mind, the two set out to create the best BMX Store they could. Offering over 10,000 BMX race and freestyle parts LUXBMX is your one-stop shop when it comes to BMX. LUXBMX offers worldwide shipping as well as BMX servicing, custom wheel builds, custom bike builds, and in-store sales from our physical store in West End. We offer all this with expert knowledge from all of our staff as they are all riders themselves and understand your unique needs on your bike.
LUXBMX was ranked 18th in the annual SmartCompany Smart50 list of the fastest-growing small-medium sized businesses in Australia. We are so proud to be where we are and want to thank all our customers for their loyal support over the past decade.
LUXBMX Store first opened in a little back alley just off Wickham St, in the Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The shop itself was located in an almost century-old building that spent the majority of its life as a printing press and in later years a basement storage area. The location is central and easy to get to, yet relaxed enough to have a ride on the street in front of the shop. Evan and Mitch fell in love with this location as soon as they found it and the rest was history.
After five and a half years LUXBMX had outgrown it's original location and decided to move to the bike-friendly, inner-city suburb of West End. LUXBMX is still constantly progressing and changing, whether it be with the latest BMX products, regular events in Brisbane or improvements to the shop. The main vision of LUXBMX still stays the same, to offer the riders of Brisbane and the rest of Australia the newest range of BMX bikes, products and streetwear while remaining a haven for riders to hang out, have a chat and feel a part of our growing BMX community.
One thing we have enjoyed seeing over the years is the positive impact we have been able to have on the local Brisbane and wider Australian BMX scenes. As BMX riders ourselves it’s important to be at the skateparks, jams, and premieres. We love having premieres, and last year was a very special occasion, our first full-length DVD Aeterna. Filmed and edited by Mike Vockenson you won’t want to miss this one. If you haven’t seen it the sections are uploaded on our youtube.
If you live around the Brisbane area or are just visiting make sure you drop in. We guarantee you won't be disappointed.
