The Academy Trooper is the real deal—built tough, rides smooth, and priced to get you rolling without rinsing your wallet. Whether you're learning your first bunny hop or cruising to the local park, the Trooper is designed to get you started right.

With a very short 19.5 inch top tube, this rig is dialled for younger or smaller riders who want full-size performance without the awkward reach. It’s got a hi-tensile steel frame and fork with geometry made for learning tricks and building confidence. You’re backed by sealed bearings in the hubs and bottom bracket, 3-piece chromoly cranks, and a 25-9 gear setup that keeps it simple and strong.

The 8.5 Inch rise bars and top-load stem give it that classic BMX feel, while 2.3 inch wide tyres keep it comfy and grippy on all surfaces. It even comes with a sealed cassette hub and railed seat, so you’re not sacrificing quality just because you’re starting out.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
