Description

The Aero Pro may look like a lightweight rim, but the aerodynamic styling hides a design engineered around strength, the same way its big brother the NASA rim was. Extra thick tapered sidewalls and extra thick tapered spoke seats put material where rims usually give up, and the spoke seats are angled to suit proven cross over lacing.

Inside the rim there is a curved inner strut plus two intra cavity supports, which lift radial stiffness and axial strength. It measures 36mm wide by 20mm tall in 6066-T6, with an outer diameter of 419mm, an ERD of 384mm and a weight of 520g, and the sidewalls can be run with brakes.

Features

Built for strength, not looks. The aero styling is only styling: strength was the key feature in the design, the same as the NASA rim it comes from.
Extra thick tapered sidewalls. Thicker tapered sidewalls and thick tapered spoke seats put the material where a rim takes the most punishment.
