Description

The Safari V2 is the latest version of Reed Stark's signature frame, built to his spec: a super long front end, a short back end and a regular head angle. Simple, and it works. This version uses BSD's Superscoop chainstay tubing for extra tyre clearance when your wheel is slammed.

It runs all the way up to a 21.8" top tube for taller riders who still want a reactive rear end, with a 75° head angle, a 13" to 13.5" rear end and 11.75" bottom bracket height. Sanko Japanese seamless 4130 chromoly, brakeless, 2.4kg.

Features

Long front, short rear end. Reed Stark's geometry pairs a very long front end with a 13" to 13.5" rear, so it still turns in when you ask.
Superscoop chainstay tubing. BSD's Superscoop stays open up extra tyre clearance for when your back wheel is slammed all the way in.
Sanko Japanese seamless chromoly. Seamless Japanese 4130 tubing throughout, with the whole frame coming in at 2.4kg.
Sizes up to 21.8" top tube. Four lengths from 20.6" to 21.8", so taller riders get the front end without giving up the short back end.
Brakeless by design. No brake mounts anywhere on the frame, run with a 75° head angle and a 71° seat tube angle.

The height bands overlap on purpose. If you land in two of them, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park. Plenty of riders, pros included, deliberately ride longer than a chart suggests.

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the length of the tube you can see. Measure your current frame that way and compare.

Size up for stability through trails and transitions.
Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
