Description

This rear wheel pairs BSD's Revolution V1.5 freecoaster hub with the XLT rim. At the core of the hub is the Planetary Clutch Mechanism, a compact clutch that replaces the traditional heavy cone style assembly with a lightweight one. It gives immediate pedal engagement with virtually zero pedal gap, while keeping out unwanted engagement during fakie manoeuvres.

The XLT rim is 495g, the lightest in the BSD range and the rim Alex Donnachie and Kriss Kyle ride. The wheel is laced 4 cross with 192mm BSD spokes, comes with BSD rim tape fitted, and carries the original Jersey Barrier plastic hub guards on both drive and non-drive sides. The hub runs a male axle in either RHD or LHD.

Features
  • Planetary Clutch mechanism. The V1.5 hub swaps the heavy cone style clutch for a compact, lightweight spring loaded assembly.
  • Almost no pedal gap. Pedal engagement is immediate with virtually zero gap, and it stays out of the way when you are rolling fakie.
  • Lightest rim BSD make. The XLT rim is only 495g, the lightest in the range, and it is still what Alex Donnachie and Kriss Kyle ride.
  • Hub guards both sides. Jersey Barrier plastic hub guards are fitted drive and non-drive side, so you can grind it straight away.
  • Laced 4 cross with tape. Built on 192mm BSD spokes in a 4 cross pattern with BSD rim tape already in place.
