Stepping up to the Cruiser Pro 24 sized bikes, we predict that this bike will continue to be a hit in its segment. The Edge Cruiser runs on Tioga Powerblocks (24 x 1.85 front and 24 x 1.60 rear) and double-walled alloy rims, which is the ideal set up and perfect for the older rider that is really starting to push the limits hitting the bigger jumps out on the track. They are also tough enough to withstand the hits that are likely to happen as you find your feet again out on the race track. This bike is primed and ready to tackle the 40+ cruiser class!

The 2022 Chase Edge Pro Cruiser packs a punch coming spec'd straight from the factory with a disc brake and with what we predict will become the norm for braking. Young, or older racers, will benefit from the very best in performance with the frame on the brand's Edge Pro Cruiser manufactured with hydroformed and triple butted tubing and includes features like enclosed dropouts. The part's list includes trusted brands like Insight (chainring, grips) and with 180mm alloy three piece cranks and Chase Edge CroMo forks, this cruiser will take plenty of hits as you explore the edges of your speed and skill.

Features

Built for the cruiser class. 24" wheels and a 21.50" top tube give older riders, including the 40+ class, a race bike sized for finding their feet again on the track.
Triple butted hydroformed alloy frame. 6061 T6 tubing with enclosed rear dropouts and an integrated chain tensioner system keeps the frame light and holds the rear wheel and chain tension steady.
Disc brake straight from the factory. A mechanical disc calliper on a 140mm rotor with a linear-pull lever, the set-up we predict will become the norm for race braking.
Tioga PowerBlock tyres on double wall rims. 24 x 1.85 front and 24 x 1.60 rear on Chase Edge 175 36H rims, tough enough for the bigger jumps and the hits that come with them.
180mm three-piece cranks and sealed hubs. Alloy 180mm cranks with chromoly ring bolts, a Euro sealed BB, Insight 41T ring and a sealed cassette rear hub with 24T ratchet engagement, 10kg without pedals.

Assembly information

Your race bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Spin the rear wheel and check the rotor runs clear of the calliper
Check the brake and tyre pressure before the first ride

Disc brakes: keep your fingers off the rotor and pads, because oil from your skin contaminates the braking surface and takes the bite away. If the rotor rubs, loosen the two calliper bolts, squeeze the lever, then tighten them again with the lever held on. Bed the brake in with a few firm stops before you race it.

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm spanner for the pedals. Check your axle hardware, since race bikes vary between bolt-on nuts and a thru-axle.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.
