Description

Small in size, big on progression. The Colony Cadet 18 inch Frame is purpose built to bridge the gap between 16 inch and full-size 20 inch setups, using the same heat-treated full chromoly construction as the bigger frames rather than being simply scaled down.

Progressive geometry keeps it tight and responsive at the skatepark, on the street or at the local: an 18.0" top tube, a short 12.7" rear end, a 75.2° head angle, a 71° seat angle and 11.5" bottom bracket height, with room out back for 2.4" rubber. A heat-treated integrated head tube, external down tube gusset, tapered tubes and dropouts with built-in chain tensioners round it out, and removable brake mounts come included with hardware.

Features

Bridges 16 inch to 20 inch. Purpose built for the in-between years, with an 18.0" top tube and 7.4" standover so a growing rider fits properly.
Short 12.7" rear end. A snappy back end with a 75.2° head angle and 71° seat angle, so the frame turns quickly and lifts easily.
Full heat-treated tapered chromoly. Tapered CrMo tubing with an external down tube gusset and a heat-treated 118mm integrated head tube, all at 2,040g.
6mm dropouts, built-in tensioners. Heat-treated 6mm dropouts hold the rear wheel where you set it and make chain adjustment straightforward.
Removable brake mounts included. Set it up braked or brakeless with the hardware supplied, and the built-in seat clamp uses a replaceable bolt.
