Description

Built around a lightweight alloy frame, coupled with appropriately sized geometry, makes these the perfect bike for the younger, smaller BMXers starting out. Progression & having fun with BMX will come naturally, for all styles of riding, including those aspiring to be a future BMX Freestyle Olympic athlete. With the Colony Horizon series of BMX bikes, there is no limit to where BMX could be taken.

Features
  • Alloy frame, sized for smaller riders. A light 6061T6 frame with an 18.9" top tube and 12.9" rear end, so younger BMXers get a bike that actually fits.
  • Chromoly fork and bars. Tapered CrMo fork legs and 8.5" rise, 26" wide CrMo bars put strong steel in the two spots a learner leans on hardest.
  • Sealed cassette hub with 9T driver. The full sealed bearing rear hub runs a 25T sprocket, so the gearing is light off the mark and the bearings stay clean.
  • Rear brake ready to go. A 990 style rear brake with clear pads and a short reach alloy lever that smaller hands can pull without stretching.
  • Complete Horizon build at 10.6 kg. Family F2128 2.2" tyres on 36 hole alloy rims, a mid sealed bottom bracket and 165mm tubular CrMo cranks, all up 10.6 kgs.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
