Description

The Sweet Tooth Pro 16" is a dialled in, scaled down version of the Sweet Tooth signature ride, built for younger riders who are serious about progression. Full chromoly frame, heat treated forks, sealed bearings all round and a 9T cassette hub mean it is ready to rip straight out of the box.

Geometry is sized to suit a smaller rider: a 16.0" top tube, 11.0" slammed rear end, 75.2° head tube, 71° seat tube and a 6.55" standover. Park, street or pump track, the Sweet Tooth Pro is the real deal for kids who ride hard.

Features

  • Full chromoly, scaled to 16". A 16.0" top tube and 11.0" slammed rear end give a small rider real BMX geometry in a full CrMo frame.
  • 9T cassette hub, sealed bearings. Sealed bearings all round and a 9T cassette driver mean less maintenance and a proper feel for a rider learning to pedal hard.
  • Heat treated forks up front. Tapered CrMo legs with a one-piece CNC steer tube and 25mm offset handle park, street and pump track use.
  • Cockpit built for smaller hands. 7.0" rise by 23" wide Sweet Tooth bars, a 35mm reach Variant topload stem and Much Room grips keep the reach manageable.
  • Rear brake with removable mounts. Alloy 990 style brakes and a linear slick cable come fitted, and the mounts and hardware come off if the rider goes brakeless.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.

16 inch BMX sizing

A 16 inch bike suits a rider of about 96 to 122cm, usually 4 to 7 years old, on a 16 to 16.5 inch top tube. It is the size most kids learn to ride properly on.

160cm and up24"21.75 to 22"
160cm and up26"22 to 23"

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. At this wheel size the top tube barely changes the fit: go by height, and check they can stand over the bike flat footed.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

  • Between two wheel sizes? Go up. Kids grow into a bike far faster than they grow out of the fun.
  • They should be able to stand over the top tube with both feet flat on the ground.

Not sure? Send us their height and we will tell you what we would put them on.
