Description

The Division Blitzer 16" is where young riders really start to level up. A Hi-Ten frame is upgraded with a 3-piece CrMo crank and a sealed MID bottom bracket, so it handles everyday cruising and first sessions at the park alike.

Bigger 16" wheels, responsive geometry and a sealed cassette hub give it that true BMX feel: smooth, solid and ready to progress. Whether it is the ride to school or chasing new tricks, the Blitzer 16" keeps things dialled and looking the part.

Features

  • 3-piece CrMo crank, sealed MID BB. A proper BMX drivetrain at 125mm, so the part of the bike that cops the most abuse is the part built strongest.
  • Sealed cassette rear hub. A Division alloy sealed bearing hub with a 9T driver on a 14mm axle gives the real BMX feel and rolls smoothly.
  • Bigger 16" wheels. Alloy single wall 32H rims on black stainless spokes with Family F641 16 x 2.3" tyres for grip on rough ground.
  • Geometry made for progression. A 16" top tube, 11.25" chainstays and a 75 degree head tube keep it responsive from the street to the park.
  • Dialled cockpit and finish. Division Hi-Ten bars with 7.0" rise and 23" width, a forged alloy 40mm topload stem and a railed seat, at 10.0 kg.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.

16 inch BMX sizing

A 16 inch bike suits a rider of about 96 to 122cm, usually 4 to 7 years old, on a 16 to 16.5 inch top tube. It is the size most kids learn to ride properly on.

Rider heightWheel sizeTop tube

168 to 175cm20"20.25 to 20.75"
175 to 183cm20"20.5 to 21"
183 to 190cm and up20"20.75 to 21.5"
160cm and up22"21 to 22.25"
160cm and up24"21.75 to 22"
160cm and up26"22 to 23"

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. At this wheel size the top tube barely changes the fit: go by height, and check they can stand over the bike flat footed.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

  • Between two wheel sizes? Go up. Kids grow into a bike far faster than they grow out of the fun.
  • They should be able to stand over the top tube with both feet flat on the ground.

Not sure? Send us their height and we will tell you what we would put them on.
