With 26" wheels you can monster truck over almost anything with ease and the addition of chromoly to the bike provides extra strength in the places you need it the most. Fully sealed bearings throughout the rig makes everything so much smoother and the bucket loads of epic parts included puts the icing on this monster cake!

“Legend” is not a term to be taken lightly and we aren’t making small talk with the 2021 DK Legend 26”. It’s a big bike with big goals: To be ridden hard and ridden frequently. This year, we moved back to classic chrome and added a pad set that really makes this thing jump. The throwback looptail frame stays give a nod to 70’s BMX design with a stable, comfortable stance, while the specs are performance minded without blowing the price. 26” double wall alloy rims are mounted with grippy 26 x 2.1” tires for a smooth and comfortable ride. For stopping power and wheelie control, a V-brake handles the tasks. Whether you want to rip hard, roll fast or just cruise around, the Legend has your back.

Features

Monster truck 26 inch wheels. Big wheels and a 22.4" top tube smooth out rough ground, whether you rip hard, roll fast or just cruise.
Retro looptail rear end. The throwback frame stays nod to 70s BMX design and give a stable, comfortable stance.
Chromoly where it counts. A chromoly front triangle, 6.5" rise chromoly bars and tubular chromoly 170mm cranks add strength to a big bike.
V-brake for stopping power. An alloy V-brake handles the stopping and the wheelie control, with a fully sealed 11 tooth cassette hub out back.
Classic chrome with a pad set. 26 x 2.1" tyres on double wall Rectrix2 rims, a Stealth Pivotal seat and a two piece pad set, all up 12.9 kg.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Top Tube Length - 22.4

A 20 inch bike is the standard adult BMX and suits riders from about 147cm up. At this wheel size the top tube is what changes the fit, so pick that by height.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. If you land in two bands, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the same as the length of the tube you can see.

A 20 inch bike is the standard adult BMX and most riders end up there, so do not size a tall child down to a smaller wheel.
22, 24 and 26 inch bikes are adult bikes with a bigger wheel, not bigger frames for taller riders.
Size up for stability through trails and transitions. Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed, but stem length, fork offset and bar position all shift how roomy the bike feels once you are on it.
