Description

Possibly the perfect first race bike for most young shredders just starting out. The DK Swift Mini is ready to race with slightly revised graphics in the ever popular black colourway, built around a lightweight 6061 aluminium frame with a 17.25" top tube and a hi-tensile fork with a chromoly steerer.

A perennial favourite of the DK race family, the Swift has kicked off plenty of BMX careers, and value and build quality are what this established brand is known for. Forged alloy 3-piece 140mm cranks, 42/16 gearing and Arisun XLR8 tyres come in at 7.4 kg, so confidence builds quickly once your young one starts pedalling.

Features
  • Lightweight aluminium race frame. A 6061 aluminium frame with a 17.25" top tube holds the whole bike to 7.4 kg, easy for a small rider to handle.
  • Forged alloy 3-piece cranks. 140mm forged alloy cranks are sized for short legs and run 42/16 gearing for a 52.24 inch ratio.
  • Sized for a first racer. A 30mm front load stem, 3" rise bars and DUO Mini grips put a young rider in a comfortable, controllable position.
  • Mini V-brake with alloy lever. An alloy Mini linear V-brake and matching alloy lever give stopping power that small hands can actually pull.
  • Ready to race out of the box. Arisun XLR8 20 x 1-1/8" tyres on 36 hole single wall alloy rims, with a DK Mini one-piece seat and post combo.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
