Description

The Excess centerlock adapter lets you run an ISO 6 bolt disc rotor on a centerlock hub. It is the part you need to convert a centerlock rear hub, like the ones used on the Excess XLC complete wheel range, so the hub can be set up with a disc rotor and disc brake.

The body is aluminium alloy, roughly 52 x 52 x 9mm, and weighs about 27 grams. It is better suited to centerlock hubs with axle hardware larger than 20mm, and the lock nut needs a 16 notch Shimano Hollowtech type II tool with an outer diameter of around 44mm.

  • Runs 6 bolt rotors. Fits a centerlock hub and gives you an ISO 6 bolt rotor mount, so you can use the rotor you already own.
  • Made for Excess XLC wheels. This is the part that converts a centerlock rear hub, like the ones on the Excess XLC wheel range, to a disc setup.
  • Alloy body, 27 grams. Aluminium alloy at about 52 x 52 x 9mm and 27 grams, so it adds next to nothing to the wheel.
  • Check your axle hardware. It is better suited to centerlock hubs with axle hardware larger than 20mm, so measure yours before ordering.
