Replace the standard hub on that entry level race bike with this sealed bearing offering that can be configured as a disc brake hub with the purchase of centre-lock disc adapter to future-proof your bike.

It's becoming more and more common to see disc brake options being offered on after-market frames, even down to the junior sizes, and if you choose this rear hub from Excess, you can rest easy knowing that if you upgrade the frame, you can choose a disc-brake only frame, you won't have to build another set of wheels. 36 hole, Pro size. The 36 hole shell suits Pro sized race bikes, so it drops straight into an entry level race build as a sealed bearing upgrade.
Disc ready when you are. Swap the supplied alloy lock ring for a centre lock disc adapter and the hub runs a disc brake, so a frame upgrade does not mean a rebuild.
Four sealed bearings. Sealed bearings keep track grit out of the hub, so it keeps rolling smoothly through the season.
24 ratchet ring inside. Three pawls engage a 24 ratchet ring, so pedal pressure picks the hub up quickly out of the gate.
Chromoly axle, alloy caps. A chromoly axle with 3/8" bolts and CNC alloy bolt caps handles the loads of gate starts.
