Description

The Excess XLC Mini Expert rear hub is a 28 hole race hub built around a 3 pawl, single engagement driver that picks up on a 24 tooth ratchet ring inside the hub shell. Four sealed bearings and an alloy axle keep it rolling, with M6 bolts and alloy CNC bolt caps holding it all together.

The chromoly driver comes with 1mm and 0.5mm chromoly driver spacers and a lock ring, and the rear cog is not included. If you want to run a disc, the supplied alloy lock ring can be swapped for a centre lock disc adapter, sold separately along with the disc.

Features

28 hole shell. A 28 hole drilling suits mini and expert race wheel builds, so it laces straight to a matching rim.
Four sealed bearings. Four sealed bearings keep grit out of the hub and keep the wheel spinning smoothly through race days.
Three pawls, 24 point ring. Three pawls engage as one into a 24 tooth ratchet ring, so the drive picks up predictably out of the gate.
Alloy axle, CNC bolt caps. The alloy axle uses M6 bolts with alloy CNC bolt caps, which keeps weight down at 363 grams.
Disc brake upgrade path. Swap the supplied alloy lock ring for a centre lock disc adapter if you decide to run a disc later.
