Description

Before we had even met Boyd we knew we wanted him to be apart of the LUXBMX family and we couldn't be more proud of everything he has achieved on and off his bike over the years. The Nora cup winner has been lucky enough to get his own frame with Federal Bikes!

In 2022 Boyd has a variety of parts with his name on them and that's something we are stoked about! Boyds Federal ICS2 frame comes in 3 sizes to suit all riders, and in Matte Black, Dark Blue and matte cream!

You can catch Boyd ripping his around Pizzey park most afternoons!

Features

Boyd Hilder's signature ICS2 frame. The Nora Cup winner's own Federal frame, in matte black, dark blue or matte cream, with graphics by Rich Forne.
Three sizes to suit all riders. Pick a 21", 21.2" or 21.5" top tube to match your height and the way you like a bike to sit.
Steep 75.2° head tube angle. Quick steering up front, backed by a 71° seat tube angle, 9" standover and 11.7" bottom bracket height.
13.4" chainstays slammed. Run the rear wheel all the way forward for a short back end that comes up easily.
Tapered seat stays, stamped gusset. A stamped gusset backs up the down tube where it takes the hits, and removable brake mounts are sold separately.

Top Tube Length - 20.7

Frames are sized by top tube length. Start with your height, then let riding style decide where in the range you land.

175 to 183cm	20.5 to 21"
183 to 190cm and up	20.75 to 21.5"

The height bands overlap on purpose. If you land in two of them, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park. Plenty of riders, pros included, deliberately ride longer than a chart suggests.

How to measure

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the length of the tube you can see. Measure your current frame that way and compare.

Size up for stability through trails and transitions.
Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed once you buy, but chainstay length, stem length, fork offset and bar position all change how the built bike feels.
