Description

For 2026 FIT have refined the 14" MISFIT by lightening the frame and fork and taking the cranks from 95mm out to 105mm. FIT have long focused on making the MISFIT series properly proportioned for younger riders, and details like the longer cranks and the 23/9 gear ratio make a real difference on the bike.

Smaller diameter grips and a short reach brake lever give young riders better control, while low tension U-brake springs and a linear cable make stopping easier. A longer 200mm seat post adds adjustability for growing riders, and 17mm rear axle nuts allow smaller diameter pegs to be fitted.

Features

  • Longer 105mm cranks for 2026. Up from 95mm and paired with a 23/9 gear ratio, a change you can feel in how the bike pedals.
  • Lighter frame and fork. FIT trimmed weight from both, and at this size less weight makes the bike far easier to handle.
  • Smaller grips, short reach lever. Sized so little hands can hold on properly and reach the brake, which means better control.
  • Low tension springs, linear cable. The U-brake pulls easily and responds quickly, so stopping does not take a hard squeeze.
  • 200mm post, 17mm axle nuts. The longer seat post grows with the rider, and the smaller axle nuts suit slimmer pegs.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.

14 inch BMX sizing

A 14 inch bike suits a rider of about 81 to 106cm, usually 3 to 5 years old, on a 14 to 14.5 inch top tube. It sits between the 12 and the 16.

160cm and up24"21.75 to 22"
160cm and up26"22 to 23"

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. At this wheel size the top tube barely changes the fit: go by height, and check they can stand over the bike flat footed.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

  • Between two wheel sizes? Go up. Kids grow into a bike far faster than they grow out of the fun.
  • They should be able to stand over the top tube with both feet flat on the ground.

Not sure? Send us their height and we will tell you what we would put them on.
