Description

The Series 22 is for anyone who has taken a break from BMX and wants back in, or who is coming across from mountain bikes and wants something bigger and more stable than a 20". It keeps the classic FIT colourways, graphics and pad set, with a 100% Cro-Mo frame and fork and a 22.13" top tube.

S&M Speedball tyres and double wall rims keep the larger wheels running true, and the S&M 320mm Long Johnson post with a quick release clamp and Stealth Pivotal seat make longer rides to the local spots comfortable. Thread-on brake mounts mean this trail and park rig can become a brakeless street bike whenever you like.

Features

Built for getting back into BMX. A 22" wheel suits riders returning after a break, or coming from MTB and wanting something more stable than a 20".
Full 100% Cro-Mo frame and fork. Tapered fork legs and a 22.13" top tube give you room to move on a bike that still handles like a BMX.
S&M Speedball tyres, double wall rims. 2.4" front and 2.25" rear on double wall rims keep the bigger wheels on track and running true.
320mm Long Johnson post, quick release clamp. The S&M post and Stealth Pivotal seat suit longer rides, and the clamp lets you change seat height without tools.
Thread-on brake mounts. Keep the U-brake on for trails and park, or take the mounts off and run it as a brakeless street bike.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

A 22 inch is a BMX with a bigger wheel, for riders about 160cm and up, on a 21 to 22.25 inch top tube. It is a different ride feel rather than a bigger frame for taller riders.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. A big wheel rides longer than its top tube number suggests, so do not compare it straight against a 20 inch.

How to measure

Stand against a wall in the shoes you ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of your head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Choose a big wheel for the ride feel, not because you are tall. Plenty of tall riders stay on 20 inch.
Coming off a 20 inch? Expect it to feel longer and more stable, and slower to spin.
