The Ikon carbon rim in 24 x 1.75 is a bare rim for a 24 inch build. It is the non-brake version, so there is no machined brake surface on the sidewall.

Being a bare rim it needs a hub, spokes and a wheel build before it rolls. Carbon rather than alloy is the point of difference here.
