Description

The Inspyre EVO range of bikes are gaining traction with racers both at the start of their BMX racing journey, to those that are giving it a red hot crack. This French brand knows a thing or two about designing race winning geometry, as well as bringing great value to race bikes in a competitive market.

The Inspyre Evo Disc Pro L 2025 bikes are ready to race straight out of the box, with a suite of aftermarket parts from their component brand of Forward providing the bars, stem, cranks, hubs, rims and brakes.

The frame is manufactured from premium aluminium 6061-T6 with hydroformed tubes that are triple butted. The dropouts are swell forged 3D aluminium. What does this mean? The frame is comparable to any aftermarket frame, with the dialled in race geometry. Hydraulic disc brakes help pull you up as you blaze over the finish line.

Over the past few years, the Inspyre EVO bikes have been one of our best selling race bikes across all sizes, from the junior right up and through the pro sized bikes, with the cruisers being super popular with mums and dads returning to racing. This Pro L has to be one of the best value for money options in the category, with the specs being bang on for the age classes racing this bike. The only thing we would change is to gear it up a couple of teeth on the front to bring the gearing up a little to match Aussie tracks.

Features

Race ready out of the box. Forward supplies the bars, stem, cranks, hubs, rims and brakes on a 20.75" top tube frame built for the Pro L age classes.
Hydroformed 6061-T6 aluminium frame. Triple butted tubes and swell forged 3D dropouts make this frame comparable to any aftermarket race frame, with the race geometry dialled in.
Hydraulic disc brakes. Alhonga short lever hydraulic discs and a Forward 140mm rotor pull you up as you blaze over the finish line.
Powerblock front and rear. A 20x1.75" Tioga Powerblock up front and a 20x1.60" at the rear on double-wall Forward Joyride 36H rims with sealed bearing hubs.
Room to gear it up. It comes 42x16 for a 51.16" ratio: the only thing we would change is a couple more teeth on the front to match Aussie tracks.

Assembly information

Your race bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Spin the rear wheel and check the rotor runs clear of the calliper
Check the brake and tyre pressure before the first ride

Disc brakes: keep your fingers off the rotor and pads, because oil from your skin contaminates the braking surface and takes the bite away. If the rotor rubs, loosen the two calliper bolts, squeeze the lever, then tighten them again with the lever held on. Bed the brake in with a few firm stops before you race it.

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm spanner for the pedals. Check your axle hardware, since race bikes vary between bolt-on nuts and a thru-axle.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.
