French brand Inspyre have been quietly producing bikes for the past few years and have established themselves as a respected manufacturer of complete race bikes. The 2022 Inspyre EVO Pro XXL Disc Brake Bike comes equipped with all the components that you need to take this bike from the shop to the track, and on to the podium. Out of the box, the Inspyre 6061-T61 hydroformed triple-butted tubed aluminium frame has a set of Inspyre Evo 100% Chromoly forks, featuring tapered legs, bolted to it to form the basis of a winning machine. Further highlights include Forward Joyride cranks and Forward Joyride hubs, with the rear hub having 150 engagement points with 6 pawls, housed in an aluminium body and using 100% ring bearings. A 27.2mm BOX Echelon seat/post combo is another high level component utilised on this build, along with a full hydraulic disc brake system that uses a Shimano lever and Forward calliper.

This is the last child of the in the Pro range and runs Vee Rubber Speedster 20 x 1.75 tyres wrapped around Forward double-walled alloy rims, giving the pilot the confidence to send the big sets out there on the track. It's perfect for the up and coming superclass or age class rider. Lightweight with killer geometry, this winning machine is ready to tackle any Aussie BMX track.

All in all, we're super impressed by the 2022 Inspyre Evo-C line of bikes and offer them in both white, and grey colourways for 2022. At this price point, these Evo-C bikes represent extremely good value as a complete race bike, especially when you look closely at the specification list. Racers at this level are usually looking at stepping up to a custom build as a way to improve performance, though this comes at a price that would be easily double of this bike here. Save yourself all that trouble of finding all the parts to build a bike and order a Evo-C. You won't be disappointed.

Features

The biggest bike in the range. A 21.85" top tube, 180mm cranks and 8" x 28.5" bars for the up and coming superclass or age class rider.
9.4 kg without pedals. A hydroformed triple butted 6061-T6 aluminium frame and a tapered leg chromoly fork keep the weight down.
Full hydraulic disc brake. Shimano lever, Forward calliper and a 140mm Forward Joyride AM rotor, so you can carry speed later into the turn.

Assembly information

Your race bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Spin the rear wheel and check the rotor runs clear of the calliper
Check the brake and tyre pressure before the first ride

Disc brakes: keep your fingers off the rotor and pads, because oil from your skin contaminates the braking surface and takes the bite away. If the rotor rubs, loosen the two calliper bolts, squeeze the lever, then tighten them again with the lever held on. Bed the brake in with a few firm stops before you race it.

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm spanner for the pedals. Check your axle hardware, since race bikes vary between bolt-on nuts and a thru-axle.
