Description

The ION BMX carbon fiber 18 rims are crafted specifically for freestyle BMX riding. Built using Toray T800s intermediate modulus carbon fiber, these rims combine high tensile strength with exceptional lightweight durability, resulting in a rim that excels in both toughness and performance.

Features
  • 18 inch, 36 hole only. This rim is drilled 36h only, so plan the build around a 36 hole hub and 18 inch tyres.
  • Toray T800s carbon. Intermediate modulus, high tensile strength carbon fibre gives the rim toughness while keeping it light.
  • Patented braking surface. The tonal marble weave braking surface is built into the rim, and it needs carbon specific brake pads to work with it.
  • Light at 300g. At 300g plus or minus 15g there is very little weight out at the rim of an 18 inch wheel.
  • Schrader drilled, 4D holes. The valve hole is drilled for a Schrader (A/V) valve, and the spoke holes use ION's 4D drilling.
