Description

14" bikes are not all that common, but the Kink Pump fills an important gap. It sits between a 12" and a 16", with proportionate geometry and components chosen to suit the age and height of the rider rather than borrowed from a bigger bike.

Wide 2.25" tyres give loads of grip for the local park and trails, and the cassette hub gives a young rider the same setup the bigger bikes run. It is built with Mission parts throughout and comes in a Digital Blue colourway.

Features

Fills the gap between 12" and 16". A 14.5" top tube and 6.5" standover suit a rider who has outgrown a 12" but is not ready for a 16".
Cassette rear hub. The same style of hub the bigger bikes run, so a young rider is learning on parts that behave like the real thing.
Wide 2.25" tyres. Extra grip on park concrete and dirt, which counts for a lot while a rider is still finding their line.
Mission Cease V2 brakes, micro lever. The Mission Micro lever is sized for small hands and runs an L0 linear cable for a light, easy pull.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. At this wheel size the top tube barely changes the fit: go by height, and check they can stand over the bike flat footed.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two wheel sizes? Go up. Kids grow into a bike far faster than they grow out of the fun.
They should be able to stand over the top tube with both feet flat on the ground.
