Description

The Pump is a 14 inch BMX bike: the same thing as a full sized one, just smaller. The Kink Pump frame and Conduit fork are 100% Hi-Ten steel, which keeps the bike at 9.15kg and easy for a small rider to handle.

A 14.5" top tube, 10.25" chainstays and 114mm cranks put a young rider in the right spot, and Mission parts run through the rest of the build: Cease V2 brakes, a Micro lever, Micro grips and 2.25" Tracker tyres. The frame is also tapped for gyro tabs.

Features

A regular BMX bike, just smaller. A 14.5" top tube, 10.25" chainstays and 114mm cranks scale full sized BMX proportions down to a 14 inch wheel.
Light and easy to handle. A 100% Hi-Ten steel frame and fork bring the whole bike in at 9.15kg, which matters when a small rider picks it up.
Mission Cease V2 brakes. A Mission Micro lever and L0 linear cable on welded mounts give small hands a light pull and real stopping power.
Wide 2.25" Mission Tracker tyres. The 14x2.25" tyres sit on Mission X7 20H rims for plenty of grip.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. At this wheel size the top tube barely changes the fit: go by height, and check they can stand over the bike flat footed.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two wheel sizes? Go up. Kids grow into a bike far faster than they grow out of the fun.
They should be able to stand over the top tube with both feet flat on the ground.
