Description

The Setup is a serious beginner bike with chromoly in the places that need it. The frame has a 4130 chromoly front triangle, the Circuit fork has a 4130 chromoly steerer, and the Kink Ridge cranks and Kink T900 bars are chromoly as well.

Bearings are sealed through the Mission integrated headset, the mid 19mm bottom bracket and the Mission Engage rear hub with its sealed 9T driver. Kink Sever 2.4" tyres, a Plymouth Stealth seat and Mission Cease V2 brakes finish it off at 12.2kg.

Features
  • 4130 chromoly front triangle. Chromoly through the front of the frame puts the strength where the bike takes the hardest hits.
  • Chromoly bars and cranks too. A 9" Kink T900 chromoly bar and Kink Ridge 3-piece tubular chromoly 170mm cranks handle the parts that cop the most force.
  • Sealed bearings front to back. A Mission sealed integrated headset, a sealed mid 19mm bottom bracket and a Mission Engage sealed cassette hub with a sealed 9T driver.
  • Wide, grippy Kink Sever tyres. The 2.4" Sever tyres on Mission X7 rims give a solid footprint on concrete and dirt.
  • Clean Kink cockpit and seat. A Kink Bold HRD 50mm stem, Ace grips, Thrust bar ends and a Kink Plymouth Stealth seat on a Mission Stealth post.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

  • 22, 24 and 26 inch bikes are adult bikes with a bigger wheel, not bigger frames for taller riders.
  • Size up for stability through trails and transitions. Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
  • Top tube is fixed, but stem length, fork offset and bar position all shift how roomy the bike feels once you are on it.
