Description

Here at LUXBMX we've been hard at work to get this 100% Custom KINK BMX build together - based around the Kink Tactic frame, with other feature Kink BMX parts alongside a suite of select brands including: Eclat, Odyssey, Federal, Salt, Cult, Spectre, and Motive.

For this build, we wanted to fill the gap in complete bike market to fit our riders' wants and needs, making a bespoke budget-friendly custom build which didn't break the bank, and this is one of our answers - which, bear in mind, we're more than happy to modify to meet your spec's or to build up something similar!

Basically; we've listened to you guys in the shop, kept our finger on the pulse of the BMX scene, and done all the hard work for you, shopping around to find the best value products we could across multiple brands to put this high-end, high-quality custom bike together while using our collective years of BMX experience to get the best value for money out of this thing without cutting any corners on build quality.

This specific build is 'street' orientated for a rider around 160cm to 180cm tall who wants to get their grind on. The rear end is nice and responsive at 13 inches for getting the front end up/spinning out of grinds without being so short you lose stability and catch your feet while running the 4-pegs, the bottom bracket is 11.6 inches high for a nice stable balance point on the bike, this build also has a 75 degree head tube angle paired with 15mm offset Kink Stoic Forks to keep the front end nice and strong and responsive.

This custom build is completely customisable to suit what you want, or we can just put together an equivalent kit in a day or two if it's going to be a better fit (hit us up to work out exactly what you should be running if you need some advice).

  • Built in house at LUXBMX. A custom Kink Tactic build using Kink, Eclat, Odyssey, Federal, Salt, Cult, Spectre and Motive parts, and we are happy to change it to your spec.
  • Street setup for 160cm to 180cm riders. The 13" rear end spins out of grinds without catching your feet, and the 11.6" bottom bracket gives a stable balance point.
  • Federal hubs with guards both ends. A Motion freecoaster in left hand drive out back and a Stance Pro up front, and we can swap the freecoaster to right hand drive.
  • Spectre butted stainless spokes. Thicker at the J-bend where spokes normally break, so your wheels hold tension and stay true for far longer.
  • Eclat Elevate guard sprocket. The 25T sprocket has a bash guard over the drive side, so you can grind both sides of the bike on the four pegs.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
